FORUM 2025 of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne
The Nouvel Ensemble Moderne Forum (NEM Forum) returns in 2025 in a new annual format as a fully-featured, free pre-professional training program. It is aimed at musicians, singers, conductors, composers, technicians, and sound engineers working in the field of contemporary music.
This unique project allows emerging artists to perfect their skills in a practical and collaborative environment, under the guidance of exceptional mentors at the forefront of musical and technological innovations.
By participating in the FORUM, candidates acquire in-depth technical expertise and benefit from valuable international visibility through our world-renowned partners. This exposure significantly enhances their professional prospects, opening the way to new opportunities for performance, collaborations, and career development.
Beyond training, the FORUM contributes to the development of contemporary music through original, inclusive, and accessible events that foster cultural exchanges and strengthen the relationship between artists and audiences.
By bringing together established and emerging talents, the FORUM actively participates in building a dynamic and engaged musical community.
Composer's Forum
A true musical laboratory, the FORUM for composers offers talented young composers the opportunity to work with the NEM for several days, with a view to creating their work in concert. Thanks to the thirteen previous editions, presented in Montreal, but also in Adelaide (2000, Australia), Amsterdam (2006, Netherlands), and Lyon (2008, France), 85 composers from 29 countries have already been able to benefit from this genuine source of musical culture.
